Interactive Mechanical Room

"Hands On Skilled Trade Experience"

The Interactive Mechanical Room (IMR)

What Is the IMR?

The Interactive Mechanical Room (IMR) is a hands-on training space where students learn skilled trades by doing the real work. Instead of only reading about construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and manufacturing, students step inside a working mechanical room and build the skills employers actually need.

Trades Students Explore

Inside each IMR, students get hands-on with the trades that keep rural communities running: construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and manufacturing. Every station is built to look and feel like a real job site, so students discover exactly where their skills and interests fit before they ever graduate.

Why Hands-On Wins

Guidance often points every student toward a four-year degree. The IMR gives mechanically inclined, non-college-bound students a proven alternative: real tools, real trades, and real career direction rooted in faith and rural values. Students leave with confidence, experience, and a head start on a high-demand career.
